Autograph letter signed from Thomas Wilkes, Dublin, to Mrs. Garrick, at her house in London [manuscript], 1779 November 2.

Has the gentleman to whom she applied in his favor written to Sir Richard Heron? He is reduced in his circumstances. About five weeks ago a bookseller made application to purchase for publication Mr. Garrick's letters. They are 128 in number from a correspondence of upwards of twenty three years. If she thinks it proper that they should not be published, he will send them to her with great pleasure. It is reported that Dean Barnard is to be appointed bishop in a few days.
